No -- each page is an image of the slide, so the text on it can't be selected, copied, or searched with Ctrl+F. If you need selectable text, exporting directly from PowerPoint is the better path.

Are charts, SmartArt, 3D effects, or embedded video included?

Accepted Answer

Charts and SmartArt render where possible but may not be pixel-identical to PowerPoint's own rendering; 3D effects and animations aren't reproduced, and embedded video/audio isn't included in a static PDF page.

Does this support the older .ppt format, not just .pptx?

No -- only .pptx (the modern, XML-based PowerPoint format) is supported. If you have a .ppt file, open it in PowerPoint (or a free alternative like LibreOffice Impress) and use Save As to save a .pptx copy first, then convert that.

What do the Fast / Default / Sharp quality options change?

They control the resolution and JPEG quality each slide is rendered at -- Fast is quicker and produces a smaller file, Sharp gives the most detail at the cost of a larger file and slower conversion. Large files and small screens default to Fast automatically, though you can still switch before converting.
